White man rapes 80 year old woman to death

An elderly Indianapolis woman who says she was sexually assaulted by her younger boyfriend has died. Metro Police say 80-year-old Kathleen Vargas called police to her home at 1029 North Kealing Avenue in July and told them she was attacked by 46-year-old Monte Ayres. Police say when Ayres saw them, he took off, but was quickly apprehended. Ayres already faces Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery, Rape, Criminal Deviate Conduct and Resisting Law Enforcement Charges. He could now face murder charges. Police say Vargas died from injuries inflicted by Ayres.
